Kaminey is one of those must watch Hindi movies which Bollywood produces once in a blue moon. Kaminey has got all the right masala that you'd expect from a Bollywood movie - You've got double roles, action, drama, politics, suspense, drug lords, flash backs, and ofcourse great music ! But then , unlike the usual Bollywood film which binds these elements in absolute nonsense threads, Kaminey takes into account that todays Indian audience wont appreciate rubbish. Vishal Bharadwaj has woven all the masala elements in correct proportions to make one of the finest Bollywood curries.
And as for the music, Kaminey has both fast tracks and slow numbers, and all the songs are lovable. Dhan te nan in particular has the potential to keep ringing in your ears long after the music has stopped. One good move by Bharadwaj is the way he has woven in the songs into the movie - The songs are not there for namesake, but gels well with the rest of the movie.
