Time and Again…Aditya Chopra produces…this time taking reliable stars like Shahid Kapoor and Rani Mukherjee.
"Dil Bole Hadippa" is another repeated recipe. It’s all about a disobedient girl who disguises up as boy to show that girls can achieve a lot too in this patriarchal society, and everyone else, as it turns out has buttons instead of eyes, or else are blind because they can’t see through that very thin attire. Or else have lost the bare minimum sense of distinguishing between a guy and a gal’s body.
Hence, Veera Kaur (Rani) puts on a turban and a beard and becomes quite comfortably "Veer Pratap Singh" so that she can play cricket. Now, you might question about the need to turn masculine to play this game, for the reason that from what we already know, India does have it’s own women’s Cricket Team. But, yes, how did one never think of this, she hails from a village where girls don’t play cricket! So – that clarifies it, the whole thing falls into place now, the logic, the storyline and what to expect further.
Now as can be guessed "Veer Pratap Singh" because of his ability on the ground, earns himself a place on Rohan’s (Shahid Kapoor) team. Thus you have the lead pair, on the same team.. I know it’s kind of hard to guess where the story goes from here, but I’ll not get mysterious and give you a hint : Love is in the air (like the Swine flu ?).
Shahid – a star who is very jovial and looks chocolaty, can act, dance, leaches friendliness and has that "good boy" charm, seems to quite deserve it. Rani who appears on the silver screen after quite a while, and after many gruelling Yoga sessions, looks thinner and fitter. Other star cast includes Rakhi Sawant, Anupam Kher, Dalip Tahil and Sherlyn Chopra.
Now because it is a Yash Raj production we can expect this film to be at the very least a family entertainer, which means relatively clean, colorful and full of energetic songs. Don’t miss this power packed drama which is releasing on September 18.
