Music Review: 'Do Knot Disturb'

Whenever David Dhawan and Govinda team up, a box office hit is guaranteed! Add to the blend up-and-coming talents Riteish Deshmukh, Lara Dutta and Sohail Khan, and you get the youthful entertainment movie "Do Knot Disturb."

For the film's soundtrack, David Dhawan ropes in duo Nadeem-Shravan whom we haven't heard from since their last release, "Dosti - Friends Forever."

Now you might be thinking, what kind of combination is this? Nadeem-Shravan are known for their soulful tracks, so will this soundtrack bring the duo back in the game? Unfortunately, not this time around.

What We Think:

The soundtrack, which contains six songs, doesn't have much to offer for a comedy. With the very first note, "Do Knot Disturb," Nadeem-Shravan leave behind their sound of the 90s which created a whole new dimension in Bollywood music. The first track "Zulfaen Khol Khal Ke" proves that the musical duo can do comedy while the second track "Don't Ever Leave Me" sounds dated despite its modern lyrics. A younger crowd may enjoy the tracks by Neeraj Shridhar like "Bebo" and "Beautiful Women." And for those who like Punjabi flavors, KK and and Shreya Ghoshal deliver the beats in "Mere Naal."

Best Track: "Zulfaen Khol Khal Ke"
The duet by Sonu Niigaam and Anuradha Sriram sounds like a fun track for now, yet the song won’t stay popular for long, so enjoy it while it lasts!

Worst Track: "Do Knot Disturb"
This track interpreted by T.K.Karthik and Anushka Manchanda may be made for promotional purposes but listening to it can get annoying in the long run.

Final Verdict:

Nadeem-Shravan’s music to "Do Knot Disturb" is below expectations. The soundtrack doesn't carry the classic style of the composer duo even though it tries to respect the David-Govinda brand.
