Her eyes swell up after a close gaze at flowers, not out of love for nature’s beauty, but because of an allergy Bipasha Basu has had for a long time. Yes, Bipasha is quite allergic to dust, make-up, and flowers, so much that she has to pop in an anti-allergy pill before sitting for a make-up session.
The actress was recently bed-ridden because of a bout of food poisoning while shooting for director Priyadarshan’s next film in the south. So she was skipping her anti-allergy medication.
On top of it, she received a lovely bouquet of flowers from her yoga guru who wished her speedy recovery. And look at the irony of it all. She hadn’t even fully recovered from food poisoning that she got the allergy as well.
“I was so thrilled to receive the bouquet that I held them close to my face to smell them and then wham! My eyes swelled up and shut tight the next day,” Bipasha is quoted as saying by a tabloid.
Due to the swelling in her eyes, Bipasha couldn’t shoot for the film for two days and had to take antibiotics for five days before fully recovering.
So next time you wish well to Bipasha, don’t send her flowers.
