Sari-clad Bipasha Basu in bong films

Bipasha Basu
Mumbai: Bipasha Basu has always done mainstream commercial films but now the diva has decided to take jump into non-commercial films. Bips would now be seen in films like Pankh, Lamhaa, Sob Charitro Kalponik, all of these are non-commercial films.

Bipasha would be donning the character of a Kashmiri girl soon. For director Rahul Dholakia’s film Lamhaa, our modern diva becomes a coy Kashmiri girl.

In Pankh, Bipasha shed her western clothes and goes for a typical Bengali woman with lovely sarees.

In Rituparno Ghosh’s Sob Charitro Kalponik, again the bombshell becomes a typical Bengali woman. Bipasha says “Ritu-da asked me to get into the typical Bengali woman mode for the character with the sari-and-blouse and body language, etc… it was not at all difficult for me as I have grown up watching my mother like that.”

To speak in Bong, Bipasha again didn’t have any problem as she says “For the language, it was very easy because it’s definitely the Bengali I speak at home and understand. Apart from that there is also a lot of English in the film as my character speaks both”.
