Ekta all set for Miss Universe Finale tonight

Lara Dutta
Bahamas: The stage is all set for utmost glamour festive Miss Universe 2009 to disseminate it colours tonight, from the Atlantis Resort in the Bahamas.

Miss India Universe Ekta Chowdhary is representing the country, and all eyes want her to fetch the crown once again after a long gap of nine years.

Sushmita Sen and Lara Dutta have grabbed the pageant for the country, and if Ekta makes it today, it would be the third Indian beauty to add the Glory in the Indian glamour history.

It was 1994, a glorious year for India, when Sushmita Sen stood first at pageant and became the first Miss Universe from India. At Miss Universe, Sushmita ranked third overall in the preliminaries but the story changed in the following rounds. Sushmita’s rival in the Miss India pageant, Aishwarya Rai, won the Miss World title.

Lara Dutta was crowned Miss Universe in the year 2000. That year was pretty lucky for India as Priyanka Chopra and Dia Mirza also won their respective Miss World and Miss Asia Pacific crowns, making it a rare record.

Shreya Kishore, Femina Miss India Earth, has wished her the best for pageant and put confidence over Ekta that she will make all her effort to win the title.

It’s D-day for Miss India Universe Ekta Choudhry. Her intellect, elegance, ability to carry every attire gracefully and faith in herself makes her a strong contender for the crown.
