Charu Sharma: Salman Khan is a 'boon' For IPL

Charu Sharma
Mumbai: There have been millions of speculations around the globe about Indian cricket and Bollywood which now seem to be the faces of a coin. The future seems to be more prolific as cricket and Bollywood might go hand in hand.

In an interview ex cricketer and Commentator Charu Sharma said, "Cricket is played in the field. What happens off the pitch is not cricket. We might go over with the assumptions on this issue, we might discuss it but it's not truly cricket not even a part of it.

A cricketer is a cricketer he/she is not concerned about what is happening off the field and they are not at all concerened about which actor or actress is cheering at the stands. All that's on a cricketer's mind is the game and his willingness to beat the opposition. Salman Khan is a mega Bollywood star; his involvement will definitely add value to IPL."

"The only unsafe obsession about Bollywood's and Corporate house's association with sports is that sometimes the owners of these teams do not know much about the game.

Their personal pride over takes their good sense and they start putting unreasonable pressure on the team. But Salman Khan and his family- his father Salim and brothers Arbaaz and Sohail are big cricket fans. Salman is sure to add to the entertainment factor associated with T20," added Charu
