MUMBAI: “Bachna ae haseeno… lo main aa gaya….” If kishore was alive this date, we are sure the 80-yr old should have landed on airs in the same way.(ah....The Spiderman). But even if he is not here, we know Kishore Da’s endless fan list should exactly hum, “Intehaa ho gayi intezaar ki…”
Therefore, with all music, music and music, 95 fm Tadka , the solid radio of the city, launched the B’Day of Kishore Kumar, with an exclusive programming attempt– ‘Only Kishore’ where they (probably the first time in radios) played all Kishore melodies on 4th August ’09 (the birth anniversary of Kishore Kumar). And with awesome response, right from the morning till the time ‘Neele neele ambar par chand jab chha jaaye..’Each listener succumbed to the ‘Kishoreful’ wonder.
“Ji sahib… aapne to kamal kar diya…” exclaimed an elated listener Sanjeev Shah. “aji hum to TADKA waalon ke charan hi sparsh kar len…subah se TADKA ka ek bhi gaana miss nahi kiya…” said another one, Prateek. “ ji aapke paas to kishore sahib ka har hit hai…” affirmed Rajeev, like many others.
However, the rhythmic reactions were merely not a case of coincidence. It was the toil on tunes, that worked. Infact, the Tadka Music Makers planned it all. Inspirational and driving songs in the morning show; situational and chubby munches in the afternoon slot; jolly and thunderous hits in the evening gesture. And finally, as the night fell each listener was gifted with Kishore Da’s lifetime dreamy melodies.
As in words of the Group Programming Head, Mr. Vikas Tiwari, “ Radio is all an outcome of music; and if one is able to make best attempts to deliver the same , that too on such legendry days like that of Kishore’s birthday; we make worth of it. Or rather with more than 250 classics of Kishore, in a single day, we made worth of it. ”. Therefore, with all charming, exclamatory and relentless hits of Kishore Kumar, Tadka luminated the musical day.
Meanwhile, the RJs of Tadka kept Kishore Da alive in their radio manner. And thus, made the legend’s birthday a long life remembrance. And above all, “chalte chalte mere yeh geet yaad rakhna… kabhi alvida na kehna…”
